MPs cheered in the House of Commons for Julian Assange’s recent arrest. The criminal charges against him having long since been dropped, his only “crime” now is whistle blowing against the USA, and that’s what he now faces deportation from the UK for.

A dark day indeed, sending a clear message to anyone else involved in investigative journalism or political investigation of any kind.

I blogged on this just yesterday.  Today I was filming Craig Murray speaking for about an hour on this and also had a short interview with him which I’ll be posting up shortly.
